Communication and Cultural Awareness
Nowadays, understanding different cultures is of greater importance than ever in our globalized society. Learning a foreign language allows students to have a deeper understanding of their own culture as well as cultures from around the world by using the target language (English) as a medium. Learners may better comprehend their own culture by understanding how they see other cultures from their own perspective and how others perceive their culture through intercultural awareness-promoting activities.

First Part: Interacting.
- You are going to learn about some famous sports around the world.
- Start by answering the following questions in the comment section:

Second Part: Let's learn by playing!
- Now, let's practice some sports vocabulary on Wordwall.
- For this activity, you will play a maze chase game in which you should match the definitions of some sports to the word that best suits them.
- Use the cursor control keys of your keyboard to move the character around the maze if you are using your computer.
- If you are on your cellphone, play on full screen and use the arrows around the character to move it through the maze.
- Remember to check the sports definitions at the bottom and read them carefully. You also have some images next to them to help you understand which sports are referring to.
- Be careful with the enemies! You only have 3 lives. If you lose them all, you lose the game.
